Supply Chain Director

General Formulations, a manufacturer of printing films for the Graphic Arts Industry.
Our products are sold to the sign, screen, litho, and wide format printers throughout the world.
We have an open position as the Supply Chain Director.
This position is a skilled leader and mentor to our staff with savvy negotiation skills.
The Supply Chain Director will be in a very faced paced environment and is responsible for resolving any issues that arise, managing the daily workload for each team member and working with the purchasing team to head off any potential issues.

Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the companys goods.
Alway providing an adequate flow of materials from multiple sources at competitive costs required to support our growing customer demand.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
Directs purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure continuous operations while meeting inventory targets.
Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production flow and ensure customer timelines are able to be met.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
Negotiates and drives down prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Identifies and address Supply Chain risks and opportunities, maintaining fostering strong relationships with key suppliers.
Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Continuously drives Inventory Turns performance.
Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Hires and trains departmental supervisors and employees.
Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business or related field or 15 years plus experience.
Five years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
