Summary:
Creates and maintains an efficient, cheerful, and harmonious office to better serve our students and families.
Also functions as liaison between staff and administration.
Qualifications:
Previous secretarial experience Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Knowledge of computers and various office machines Excellent management and supervisory skills Ability to work with little or no supervision Excellent ability to work as part of a team Ability to administer general first aid until the nurse arrives CPR/AED training (provided) Job Functions:
Greeting and assisting students, parents, and visitors.
Prepare memos, reports, newsletters, and other communication as directed by administration.
Maintain files of correspondence and communication.
Sort and distribute mail and oversee school communication.
Prepare payroll records biweekly.
Maintain an online system for staff sick days, personal leave, vacation, no paydays, and work-related absences.
Create and regularly update Google Calendar for staff.
Assist with reports mandated by other departments within the district.
Make general announcements over the intercom.
Maintain budget and purchase order records.
Assist in the preparation of the building budget.
Routinely check for necessary office and classroom supplies.
Receive supplies and orders and distribute them as appropriate.
Order maintenance and service on office and school equipment as needed.
Verify daily teacher and substitute teacher attendance records through Red Rover.
Schedule substitute teachers for staff as needed.
Answer and direct phone calls; relay phone messages.
General filing and record keeping.
Sort and distribute mail for the building.
Schedule appointments for the principal.
Administer prescribed medication to students when the nurse is not available.
Administer basic first aid to students.
Maintain accurate records of medication administered to students when a school nurse is not available.
Office reception during parent/teacher conferences.
Help prepare for the registration, open house, graduation, senior awards night, parent-teacher conferences, and any other building-level community activities.
Support goals of the building and district as directed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
